Trace, Trace and Monitor your Ship
online tools for international shippers

MARINE TRAFFIC - enter vessel name and type
See actual position of the vessel that your cargo is booked for, or loaded on.

    Try it!    Example: Marienborg

Sefco reserves space for cargo being shipped on a wide range of ocean carriers/steamship lines located around the world. RoRo vessels can be tracked and traced using the Marine Traffic web site. FCL containers can often be tracked and traced using the carriers own web site.

Here we present a select number of URL addresses for the Track & Trace pages hosted by several prominent RoRo and Container Ship lines. When Sefco is requested to offer a rate quotation, we check and reconfirm current actual costs from the ocean carrier since rates can change from month to month depending on many factors including the price of fuel, war risks, and market demand. Sefco acts as freight forwarder, almost like a travel agent for your cargo. We look into the options and try to present our clients with the best options currently available. We book the space and process the basic export documents.

Should a shipper want to select their own SS line/ocean carrier, let us know the name of the carrier. The cost for our services - "ala carte" - where the shipper selects the ocean carrier to be used - rather than relying on our suggested carrier, follows our posted schedule for handling the freight forwarding tasks as required by the carrier - such as processing the booking, submitting the EEI export declaration, creating the draft B/L bills of lading, dock receipts and our handling.

Please look over the B/L bill of lading copy sent to you for any errors, typos or corrections. If not advised prior to sailing, the information noted on the B/L will be considered final. Any changes made after sailing may incur additional fees to process any changes including change of manifest fees as may be assessed by the ocean carrier. Any additional charges remain for the account of the cargo owner, shipper/consignee.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact SEFCO's main office at info@sefco-export.com   Business is transacted principally via electronic mail and in writing to avoid any confusion and to confirm any matters pertaining to a specific shipment. Many B/L bills of lading will show the contact details for the carriers port agent at the destination port. Often that agent will send an "arrival notice" to the consignee shown on the B/L for arrangements to claim the cargo or to process further transport (on-carriage) at destination. It would be prudent to contact the port agent shown on the B/L directly to advise them of your current contact information. Please always refer to the Booking or B/L number so the port agent will know how to look up your particuar shipment. Thank you!
