RMCL rules and services
Sefco Export works with many ocean carriers, SS lines, nvocc's, forwarders and
transportation providers. Here, we convey important elements of the RMCL/carriers terms for business and services.
1) Commodity: HHG/PE household goods, kd-liftvans and freight of all kinds (FAK).
2) All rates are: Pier to Pier - destination CSC not included and valid for 30 days after date of publishng (RMCL).
3) HHG-rates, one vehicle travels free, containers containing more than two auto/motorcycle/water-craft are subject
to a $ 250.00 surcharge per each additional vehicle.
4) All "east-bound Atlantic" rates include the following surcharges:
U.S. THC: 20'contr. $ 420 / 40'contr. $500.00
All Atlantic rates are excluding (or only if indicated include)
the following surcharges:
CAF (2/12/07) + 8%.
Port Security Charge $ 15.00
U.S. chassis usage charge (CUC)
1.) export $40.00 2.) import $60.00,
Liner Doc-fee $25 B/L.
BAF (Bunker Fuel Adjustment) as of 2/12/07 flexible EC East Coast +
B: GC Gulf Coast $395 per 20'contr, $790 per 40'contr.
C: PC Pacific Cost $598 per 20'contr., $1196 per 40'contr.
Panama canal surcharge: $ 195 per container
Cargo Roll Over Charge (shippers fault):
U.S. Ports: $215.00 per container/PC Pacific Coast, N.Y. Maher Terminal: $ 365.00 per container, Vancouver: USD$ 365 per container.
5) Services include the following:
a)Booking confirmation for your reference and double checking
b) Dock receipt for your trucking company
c) Truck/rail optionals: spotting, live load, and/or drop and pick
d) Additional/optional: Elec. Export Declaration title handling per car, and FedEx fees U.S Customs
Export filing information is needed prior to departure. (Nvo) will pass on any late fee's due to late submitted
documents as per outlay.
e) Ocean Bill of Lading / House Bill ofLading /express release or 3/3 originals.
f) Airfreight Master Air Way Bill and House Air Way Bill
g) All freight charges are due before arrival or max 19 days after container loading.
h) Volume statistics for your future planning on your request.
i) Easy to understand and detailed invoicing
j) Weekly account payable satements for your easy reference
k) Arrival notices, cargo tracking
6) Choices of lines available within the requested service level is up to RMCL alone (subject to
space and equipment availability). (Nvo) is not liable for any delays or missed ETA's caused by steamship lines
or by force majeure. Customs is responsible for timely return of empty containers, or charges thereafter.
7) All freight charge are due prior to arrival. (Nvo) past due statements show the ETA by which
the charges must be paid in order to get the shipment released. We(Nvo) are not liable for demurrage charges
due to unsettled invoices. ETA's are "estimated", based on the estimated time of departure and length of transit time,
therefore (Nvo) cannot be help liable for their accuracy or delays.
8) No suit agreement: By loading with (Nvo), you or your customer, as well as your own, or your customers insurance company, agree to hold(Nvo) harmless
from any law suits concerning Ocean Carriers (VO) liability, i.e. providing proof of Vessels seaworthiness on time of shipment in
Vessel Owners regular schedule, in case of loss or damage.
