Security Screening of Customers  

Dear Customer, 


We... are committed to providing a secure and reliable transportation service, thus we are participating in the Customs – Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. 


Transportation companies participating in this program commit to establish security routines for their whole transportation chain.  U.S. Customs considers participation in C-TPAT when determining security risks to minimize impact on transportation of legitimate cargo. Our participation in the C-TPAT program enables us to provide the most reliable and secure transportation service to and from the US or in transit through a US port.  


In this regard, we are required to do a security screening of our customers and ensure the criteria are satisfied.  To assist you, we... have put together this easy reference of documents that will satisfy the screening process.

Data Requirements:

The following 6-point ID Verification Program is used when validating a new customer planning on transporting cargo with... us. Requirements from the new customer are to provide:

• At least one primary document (6, 4 and 3 point documents)
• At least one secondary document (3,2, and 1 point documents)
 


Primary Documents – Shipper must present at least one of these: 


6-Point Document:

• FMC# (Broker/Freight Forwarder/NVOCC) record of proof.
• SVI (Status Verification Interface) ID# - CTPAT member (Example:WALSEA01198)
• Business License – record of proof.
• Military Deployment Orders – copy of order.
 


4-Point Documents:

• Civil Birth Certificate
• US Passport, current or expired less than 3 years
• Foreign Passport with INS or USCIS verification and valid record of arrival/departure (Form I-94)
• Foreign Passport with INS or USCIS verification and valid Form I-551 stamp
• Current alien registration card with expiration date and verification from INS
• Current driver license
• Valid US military photo ID card
• US Department of State birth certificate
• Certificate of Naturalization
• Certificate of citizenship
• Copy of title of the goods transporting
 


3-Point Documents:

• Current photo employment authorization card.
 


Secondary Documents – Shipper must present at least one of these: 


3-Point Documents:

• Civil Marriage Certificate
• Current US Military dependent card
• US Military photo retiree card
 


2-Point Documents:

• US college photo ID card
• Valid federal, state or local government employee driver license
• US military discharge papers
• Rental Car Record/Receipt
 


1-Point Documents (Cannot use more than two of these documents)

• Bank Statement or ...credit agreement
• ATM card with pre-printed name and applicants signature
• Current health insurance card, prescription card or employee ID card with printed pay stub
• State professional license
• Property tax statement, bill or receipt issued by state municipality
• Veterans Affair universal access photo ID card
