Sefco Export Service Guides are updated throughout the year and available upon request.

Shipper/Cargo Owner is responsible for presenting original title to US Customs at the port of export, for "validation" (inspection and stamping by US Customs "approved for export"). Upon booking with Sefco, directions for receiving terminal and Customs station will be provided. Assistance (use of FedEx courier, for sending/receiving of any original documents, other support if needed) is available at extra cost upon request.

Consignee is responsible for all DDC Destination Charges after arrival at destination port/terminal
(local clearance, pickup from port, customs fees/duties/storage if any).

RoRo Rate includes: Booking Fee, Sea Freight.
Forwarding Docs, D/R dock receipt, B/L doc preparation, EEI Export Declaration, Shipping & Handling thru Sefco Export.

Port to Port Rate excludes: any local charges at origin/destination.

Referrals (if needed) and Ex-Im Support Services

FCL Container Rate excludes: any destination terminal/unloading/handle out fees, DDC destination clearance/delivery. DDC warehouse charges (unload, etc); any/all pre-arranged local destination services require a special quote on case by case basis.

Shipper/Cargo Owner is responsible to deliver the cargo/unit to the origin terminal/port.

Upon receipt of (1) payment:


and (2) completed forms,

    a Booking Request will be made to the carrier
    and a Booking Confirmation will be sent to the customer/shipper,
    indicating WHERE to deliver (origin), name of vessel, ETS/ETA sailing date,
    booking details, destination port agent contact, etc.


    *Sefco is not an inland domestic carrier/trucker.
    Where required, door pickup service can be requested from a referred 3rd party.

For any inland transport rate, the cargo specifications are required.
    Including - full description, exact cargo dimensions (LxWxH) and weight of each unit.
    - the complete origin street address, and further info (contact name/tel number)
    - if a commercial location, residence, other access details
    - when ready.

Export-Import Support Service
Receipt of our Retainer or Booking Deposit (a "firm booking") is needed,
before any 3rd party fees (truckers fee, other costs) can be arranged/secured/confirmed.

* No third party services (pickup, cleaning, FCL loading/unloading, cargo insurance, storage, DDC destination clearance/delivery, Customs work unless specified, other fees) are included in the port/port transport rate.
* Extra Length / Oversize surcharges apply to any cargo exceeding stated dim/weight paramenters
* Cargo/units should be clean, fully operable, non-hazardous, not leaking fluids, empty of any personal items/extraneous cargo.

Rates - Any and all rates quoted are subject to change and final verification; actual rates will be reflected on final booking confirmation sent by the local Sefco office handling the booking.

Export - You assume all responsibility for compliance with all laws and regulations of the United States.

    Marine Cargo Insurance
    Marine Cargo Insurance Policy provides for Total Loss Coverage at Full Replacement Value + All Risks coverage for damages while in transit. Insurance isn't mandatory, but is highly recommended since the SS Line's liability is only $500 should something happen to your cargo while in transit.
      **Our Insurance Provider is CNA - MARSH
      **The insurance certificate will be filed through Sefco and once processed the policy will be sent to you by email. Let us know the insured value for a cost confirmation.

    Shipper/insured will need to Sign the "Insurance Highlights Form" on the following page
    scan (or photo) it, and send to Sefco by email, in order to process coverage.

        if necessary:   further investigating, advising, confirming...
        after receipt of your initial retainer

        Any preliminary support / advice is at management's discretion.

        If you have cargo to be shipped from / and going to / any of these ports,
        then most likely we can book space for the cargo right away.

    If your cargo is "Ready to Go" - for shipment in under 30 days -
    we can work to get reserved space for your cargo - to go on-board one of these vessels, to the port / final destination that you require.
