You can be sure that Santa packs with care! Solid deck pallets are good for items with non-flat bases, like a heavy bureau on legs. Some antiques and furniture with exposed glass may be better protected if packed into either a custom-made wooden case or a "lift-van" crate. Usually, only movers have access to pre-fabricated "knock down" wooden liftvans. But if you search, you can find them out there. 
Wooden "skids" are perfect for smaller shipments of personal effects. Giving it extra "plastic shrink-wrapping & banding" just neatens everything into a nice tight package. If you are unsure of what to do, just confer with Mr. Quinn at or call 718-268-6233
