What does it look like,
when furniture is packed for export?

{above photo by: Transway, Sao Paulo, Brazil}

Furniture can either be "loose packed"
and loaded into the ocean container as is,
or further packed into "lift-vans" that are made of
either strong corrugated cardboard or wood.

If the goods are being sent in a container of your own
- via "FCL" full container-load -
then using liftvans would often be redundant.
"Loose packed" is sufficient.

If sending by the
"LCL" less than container-load method,
the level of packing required
depends on the destination.

High volume destinations (like England)
don't necessarily need liftvans
- it just adds to the packing cost and volume.

Higher risk destinations and fragile antiques
do call for wooden liftvans.

Sometimes its just a matter of budget (yours).

Ask us for our suggestion if unsure.
