When timing is important.
Timing is important.

Proper identification and sufficient advance notice is very important - to correctly manage the process of safely shipping your property overseas.
To "start the ball rolling" and
for real time to be dedicated to your project,
receipt of your paperwork and payment is required. Please refer to our website for our timing recommendations.
Also note that marine cargo insurance must be prepaid.
Any valued inventory lists for "all normal risks door to door coverage" must be signed and received by our office before the pickup date.
It takes time to formally submit SSL steamship line booking requests to reserve space on a ship, and furthermore, give formal written instructions to our
operational partners, including: truckers, origin packers, steamship line port agents, container yards, export/import docs specialists,
destination agents, customs brokers and other parties
involved in the specific chain of logistics involved with your particular overseas movement.
Getting these things lined up for an overseas consignment takes a fair amount of time and effort - something not done "on a one day notice".
In the export/import transport business, it is particularly true that "time is money".
Please do not wait until the last minute to send in your pre-service deposit.
Your deposit and paperwork is a sign of your commitment to the process and task at hand.
As a business, our operational engagement begins only after we receive a pre-shipment deposit or payment in full - in negotiable funds -
together with a signed copy of our quote contract form.
We want our operational partners and logistics managers to be happy, and for you - our customer, in particular - to be happy.

How much to send and where to send it.
Receive totally reliable service with successful results.
Short notice service requests (less than 7 days advance notice)
require a deposit in negotiable funds/readily available cash.
Out of state checks can often take several days to clear.
We encourage payment via bank to bank wire transfer.
Even bank wire transfers can take several days to come through.
If you need quick service -
instead of waiting for your check to get to our main office - and then clear
(before we can start helping you with your immediate task)
any SEFCO customer can simply go in person to any JP Morgan Chase Manhattan Bank branch in the USA (or overseas) and make a cash deposit.
You will get a receipt. Send us a copy of the receipt for immediate attention.

Yes, this is true. What this means to you - is that European-based goods and services paid for in US$ a couple years ago now cost about 30% more - over a relatively short span of time.
Our EU European DA destination agents pay their packers/delivery teams and basic operating costs, in EU euros.
In similar fashion, our OA-origin/DA-destination agents in Japan charge rates based on the Japanese Yen which has tended to fluctuate between 100 to 135 yen to the US dollar.
